The European DNA Profiling Group (EDNAP).
Within this working group, it is intended that each European country should be represented by one laboratory with sufficient expertise in forensic DNA technology. As a small group, EDNAP is able to make decisions solely based on scientific considerations and in the spirit of helping each other.

Define criteria for the selection of forensic typing systems based on the PCR technique suitable for European standardization, evaluate PCR systems for forensic stain typing, exchange and compare methods for the harmonization of typing protocols, carry out exercises for intercomparison of forensic typing results, recommend reference PCR typing systems for European standardization, exchange data for compilation of reference frequency databases for the European populations.

Es el Grupo Español y Portugués de la Sociedad Internacional de Hemogenética Forense (ISFH: International Society for Forensic Haemogenetics) que surge como un grupo de trabajo operativo dentro de la citada sociedad internacional debido al idioma común de sus asociados.
European Network of Forensic Science Institutes. At the 10th Interpol Symposium on Forensic Science held in Lyon, November 24-27, 1992, most of the forensic science laboratory directors were present. This occasion was used by W. Sprangers and W. Neuteboom (GL) to lobby amongst the West European colleagues about the idea for a European equivalent of the American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors (ASCLD).
